What to become?

I was fire 1-60, respecced at 60 to a mostly frost build and will certainly be sticking with it now that I have my purple crafted gear. I've been instancing quite a lot with Choleric of late and can safely say that 1 fire, 1 frost mage works very well.

Yeah i'm still hvaing my doubts about frost becaust the best armor set they can get without dungeons is a crafted one. Since i'm an engineer (stupid prof btw) i'm unable to get my hands on them. Been thinking about getting a new prof but don't know if it's possible to level it up. (would choose tailoring as it has alot of upsides to it since TBC)
I might be small, But I always wear cool hats:p

I would stick with Engineering. Rumour is it's in line for some major loving...

If you're not having too much fun with frost (and I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but at least you've given it a fair crack of the whip) have you considered a mostly arcane build? It will make your mana pool go a lot further and it would give us the holy trinity for when we hit Karazhan... (ie a frost, fire and arcane mage)

Tbh the best pre-raid belt out there imo is the Girdle of Ruination which can be bought even though you're not a tailor. And this one does just like the LW/BS/etc. patterns require a Primal Nether...

While I'll be getting me a Girdle of Ruination I'm not 100% convinced it's better in all situations than Unyielding Girdle (which I can make btw)

The way I've understood things, resilience is mainly for improving your pvp-ability. So for pve I'd say the Girdle of Ruination is better.
And imo the stats on the Girdle of Ruination beats the Unyielding Girdle, simply because I prefer a balance between stam and int instead of a pure stam buff only

Speaking of belts there's also a priest belt called Black Belt of Knowledge. It's a bit lacking in the +healing department but has a nice +MP5 on it. Anyone know if there's a better craftable healing belt out there?

You're right, resilience _is_ primarily a PVP stat, but the extra +stam makes it handy nontheless
