What do people want from the guild?

That (noobs staying noobs, old content becoming irrelevant etc) happens with most any MMO as it matures though (unless it has specific design features to try and avoid it).

As to the rest, yes, alliances require commitment, but when they work, they can make small guilds more like big guilds whilst retaining their integrity.

If it helps people arrange groups for loot, rep, levelling or just plain old fun though, then it's worth trying I think...

EDIT: I meant to add, if we do ever move onto bigger instances within an alliance, then we probably would need to consider some form of DKP system, but for 10-mans, our current system should remain workable.

Alliances work well if they're done properly. ie. not just, "meh, ask guild x if they can fill some spots for us". You need specific alliance runs on a single planner with defined ground rules and visibility for all, then it becomes a real unity instead of just some loose agreement. Once you start to see the larger pool available through a unified approach things begin to get much more promising, people can see more activity and there's a stronger approach to organised events.

theoretically it's very nice, however practicall i never knew any alliance that lasted for a long time (saw a lot of them come and die-out)

There was once what was called such an alliance on arathor. They all became : Mythical honour, The Blackroses, Mystical Odour. The casuals just dropped off.
Other alliances never made it through 4 runs maximum

So the outlook is bleak?     Though I'd like to see such an alliance, history often repeats itself.  I can't speak for the other guilds, but as I understand it none of the guilds involved are even that organised when planning internal events (for example, basic things like healers starting a Kara run without mana pots, people dropping out at the last minute, no shows, lack of planner use, "afk" while on timers, sound familiar?; add more people into the mix and things could get messy  It will require commitment from all parties to work, like you said Lioness, nothing half arsed.

I don`t have much to say about this topic, most of the time i`m not around to play instances becouse the lack of time i can play the game.

But as one of the oldest members of the guild (i think i am) i always feel a warm welcome when i log in.
And always welcome to run a instance.

Splish i have seen the guild the guild evolving to this point under your leaderschip and you did a great job,
to loose you as guild leader is not a good thing for the guild and if you do so i think that is the end of seeds of glory.

this is how i feel about some thing,
I love to be here with great people and those people are in this guild

Love You all
