"Pitching" is part of the production process in both movies and TV - you have an idea? Pitch it to a producer. Tell him about your concept, the characters, the target audience. But to pitch you have to create a logline - ten to twenty words, describing your show or your movie in the most efficient and effective way.

Here's my favourite logline. It had been pitched that way to the network and even made it into the final movie. It's horrible. It's awesome.
