I sent this message to NWO:
The votes seemed unanimously against a full merger as people worried about losing the name and status of the guild.
As for a direct partnership including a shared website, it seemed people were mostly worried about the fair distribution of loot via DKP.
Instead what I decided that a fair compromise for our guild was that, if you agree, you continue as you are but look to our guild to fill gaps or even to just do a joined raid without using the DKP system. More of a raid for fun, but with some loot system in place.
I think it would benefit us greatly if you would consider accepting this 'informal partnership'; whereby for fun and education (in raiding the areas ) sake you take some of our members along every now and then for a DKP-free raid.
In terms of incentive for your guild, all I can imagine is that it is a chance to meet new people and makes the occasional raid a little more interesting by helping some less experienced players out. This would help us greatly, as with experience in 20-man raids and what not under our belt we should be able to grow as a more confident raiding guild with good links in NWO
Awaiting word...I think it's pretty reasonable
