Paladin Talents and the like...

Out of pure interest, I was thinking the paladins amongst could discuss our current (or potential) talent tree layouts and discuss the strategies behind them with regard to pvp, raiding, instancing etc.  So yeah anyways heres the link  to my talent tree layout, its a straight up retribution spec with some protection talents added in to bolster my defense.

TalentTree

I felt that there are too many healadins in WoW and not enough paladins causing passive damage and slowing down the oppenent throught the use of vindication and others to make the lives of the main tanks easier.

anyways feel free to crit mine or add your own.  Hopefully we'll be able to work out some really effective strategies

I'm in your forum, trolling your threads...

Uther quit, Arthas re-rolled and the Order of the Silver Hand disbanded...but you still want to be a paladin?

I tend to agree; my points go on strength and agility - I can be more useful fighting - the Paldin is deceptively powerful.

Hey guys
I just started really using the boards so here are a few of my things.

I've been working on a solo tank build (may be pvpish dunno) I'd like your opinions on it. Seeing that taligecko is one of "our" best paladins I would be very happy to read his comment.

Solo Tank Build

and this is my current Holy spec + Prot build

Holy + Prot (current)

By the way, ignore my first post I was very young and naive back then.  Anyways both build you suggest are very interesting Bene, but I'm currently too tired to comment on them.  I promise  will give you a nice long critique when I wake up

Are you levelling retri, or levelling as a grinding spec? My advice would be to spread your points around the 3 trees, putting as few as possible in Prot, but make sure to get BoK.

I'd peek at Mordwin's spec for levelling, thoughas Splish says, you may not want as many in Prot (and maybe Holy) and a bit more in Retri. Like most things though, it's all a matter of personal preference at the end of the day.

A few selective picks in holy will greatly increase DPS and mana-efficiency in combination with the retri tree.

I'll tell you what; once I had multiple mob grinding sussed I found levelling a lot quicker in Prot.  I tried Retri for a while, and although I spent less time on each mob, I found that my down time was no better than when in Prot.  Remember that when in Prot you can take on 3-4 or even 5 mobs at a time, stop for a slurp of water and repeat.  To be honest I think Paladin levelling is just slow, plain and simple and there is little you can do to make things quicker.  Just my experience, mind you.

98% of the internet population has a signature. If you're part of the 2% that doesn't have a signature, copy and paste this into your sig.

I recently respecced barakous to Retribution, i've leveled as both holy and prot and I have to say retri is a much welcome change. There is a fair bit of downtime but i've found it miles faster compared to other specs.

Step 1: Do recruit a friend.
Step 2: Get a friend to recruit a friend.
Step 3: Log in to your account and choose a pally and your friend a druid.
Step 4: Log in and qeust with your friend like hell and specc pally in prot.
