I was thinking of giving Bronwyn leatherworking instead of mining once we're at 80 but I'm afraid my young spacegoat may have to take up engineering...

Dropped mining on Phred to pick up LW to be able to use Drums in BT/SWP so that shouldn´t be an issue

Cool bike, though I feel we're sliding away from the fantastical into the real world...  Seriously, a motorbike will change the whole suspension of disbelief.  I wasn't a fan of the helicopter, but at least it was a crazy looking contraption.  Motorbikes should not be tearing around a fantasy game.  At all.  Not matter how cool they look.    

Can't they just let engineers make their own custom mechanostriders?  Pimped out, with machine guns.  Surely we're only couple of patches away..

Warcraft has always had steampunk elements, the flying machine is from Warcraft II which also had a Gnomish submarine.

So's the bike if you see it from the other side, it has a sidecar and presumably runs less than smoothly.

The Warcraft world is a mix of steampunk, sci-fi, and fantasy though, not pure fantasy.  As a special treat here's a real one for you, including video.

dunno if anyone said this:
all XXX makes you mount go faster items will be mount enchants in the future. This means that you will use it on your mount instead of equipping it (helps when you get dismounted in av...)

Players will be able to "learn" a mount or non-combat pet much like learning a spell, recipe, or new ability, and these creatures will then show up on a new Pet tab within the Character Info section of the interface. Players will be able to access and preview their learned mounts and vanity pets through this tab.

Once learned, the pet icon or mount icon will no longer appear in bag spaces or bank spaces. This inventory space will be made available once again for other adventuring needs. Pets can still be set to hotkeys by dragging them to the hotkey bar, much like any other spell or ability.

With regards to the motorbike, I don't see why not. Gnomes have a somewhat firm albeit slightly volatile grasp on combustion engines already, so it would only seem logical they would go out and build the first Harley.

Though motorbikes could fit logically into Wow, that doesn't necessarily mean they should be in WoW.  I mean, there are guns in WoW; the next stage in their development would be 6 shooters and automatic rifles but I somehow doubt they would fit in well.  I guess I'm somewhat in the minority.  I think it's just over the line for what the current world of warcraft should have in it, i.e the technology starts to be recognisable as real life.  If however, they release WoW2, set say, 50 years on and technology had developed - that I could get on board with

I'm with you on that one. For me all those contemporary pop culture references and overlappings have gone a little too far - I could take gnomish machinery in vanilla WoW, and the flying machine scrapes through. But that lame area 51 rocket stuff, Haris Pilton and whatnot has started to annoy me. The motorbike is just "meh" for me.
