Yes yes, I know alliteration is all very cliche but just deal with it. Wednesday is raid reset day, this usually means it's a big day for Lake Wintergrasp as the world and it's dog wants to take their weekly shot at Archavon. I know a few of you have fought in Lake Wintergrasp and thought it fun (I certainly do) so I'm going to try and make Wintergrasp a regular thing on a Wednesday evening, the idea is to get interested parties together and go beat the Horde up then pick up anything we're missing (tank, healers, whatever) and go do Archavon (if we win). If we're in control and there's no battle scheduled for around 20:30 we'll head on and do the raid then and fight later. There's no way to make this at a specific time as it depends on too many uncontrollable variables. My aim is to get us into a battle around 20:00-21:00 but with a little over 2 hours between fights that may not always be possible. Some weeks it will work great, other weeks we'll get beaten to a bloody pulp and not get to do the raid.

Sounds complicated but it's not really, it just relies on a little luck and us beating the Horde. Anyone interested in making this a regular thing?

Sounds like alot of fun. They have made Tank spec really fun to play now with the new abilities. I will for sure try and make it, that is if the little ones are a sleep.

I should also mention that there will be epic PvP helms, boots, and trinkets available for Wintergrasp marks of honour once 3.0.8 hits live.

I can certainly get on board for this once a week (possibly more often, though I need to finish the zone quests too) as it was a giggle. Would be interesting to see how it goes as the defending team...

I really liked Wintergrasp last night so i'll be tagging along on wednesday's Wintergrasp for sure. And on the moment i'm planning my gear upgrades (see the crafting section of the forum, Blacksmithers Ahoy!) so i'll be in on anything where you can use me.
My dps isnt high enough for some instances but i'm focussing on tankinggear, after the dualspec release i shall be collecting DPS gear too but if you ever need me and find my gear suitable, just yell over the heads of the orcs, undead and whatever scum is standing infront of you and i'll come hacking my way trough to join in!

(ps: already told so last night, but i really liked the HC last night ^^ only played pugs uptill now so this was a whole new experience!)

Wintergrasp is switched off for the time being while they try to figure a way for it to run without killing the game for everyone, so tonight isn't looking promising.

EDIT - that said, we control it at present, so a trip to VoA should be doable.

Suspected as much after reading the thread on the US forums. On the plus side, Bronwyn may hit 79

It can't change hands until they switch Wintergrasp back on, so we should be golden. Free loot is always good.

I suspect the Horde will scream blue murder if we're left in control, however it's always possible that Blizzard bodged it so that it shows as under their control for them.

...so it should be back today.

Arenas are apparently disabled now though...

I'm in, it's not possible to state times so if we say anyone interested needs to be online for 8:30GT and we'll do VoA as soon as we can after that and join the first battle we get chance to.

As they go to bed at 9-9.30 GT it's a no for me i'm afraid. The puter is in the room where they sleep so i dont think they want me there when trying to sleep.

Next WG is in around 2 hours (so around 10pm GT). I've done my dailies and the lag was annoying me so I've logged out to cook and eat, then I'll grab a bath and hopefully be back in time for WG and VoA.
