I like, I like a LOT. Once again it's good to be a druid.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? Nah it's just rox0r showing off again

Just had a quick shufty and I'll be honest and say I'm not overly familiar with Druid builds, but things are looking good for Druids, moving more towards being an attacking force and away from a support class. Kinda the opposite of Pallies really  (not that I mind too much being a support class, it works for me at the moment)

Yes yes, druids are nice and all that, but we all know that Blizzard is saving the best for last

Frankly, though - I'm a bit tired of waiting.

Mangle looks to be an absolutely AWESOME talent, personally I was going for a 0/30/21 build that will probably turn into a 0/40/21 build based on the new additions.

Cat form with stuns.....I can hear the rogues a'wailin' already.

The difficulty with Druids is they are not what Blizzard intended. Originally the spec was for a 'hybrid' class. To the uninitiated the druid would appear to be quite obviously a hybrid since they can do most anything. The definition of hybrid though is able to do anything from one gear set. As druids stand now they are not 'hybrid' at all, they are classed as 'multi-role'. Take for instance the fact that I have to currently haul around 33 slots (!) of equipment not including the gear that I'm wearing to be able to perform that 'multi-role' job. Druids are limited by the fact that yes, they can do anything almost as well as the parent class but they must first switch to an entire different outfit to do it. A druid attempting to be a hybrid, ie' wearing just one outfit to try and perform all the roles of tanking/nuking/healing/dps is slightly deluded and will rapidly (hopefully) see the error of their ways.

I could rant on for hours about the nuances of druids and at some point I will get round to doing something useful with the druid section of the forum. There's just so few of us to go around though

Flying form!!! *eyes look glazed over*.........*Ricecake waves her hand infront of alandor's eyes* "Hello anyone in there!?" *casts Polymorph on Alandor and giggles uncontrolably*

but seriously OMG i can't wait for this now level 68 omg this is awesome!

only downer is that you can only use this form in outland, but the major upside is, You don't have to fork out X loads of gold to A: learn the required level of riding B:buy the bloomin flying mount and what's even better is that you get to fly 2 levels early and it's as fast as your first mount ^^ and in theory with the pvp set and Highlanders Leather boots will be almost 100% faster than normal walking speed think it comes to around 85 or 90% speed

lol just read in talents, Resto Druids can turn into a tree

I guess theres gonna be no places to exploit in outlands, otherwsie they wouldnt have flying mounts. Damn druids get everything, It would take me a while to get alorao upto level 68.

Just discovered you can now use potions in forms which is good news and FABULOUS news is that weapon procs now work in feral forms.  Yes, that includes Crusader.  I'm struggling to imagine the effect of +100 strength on cat form but it's got to be fun while it lasts

Oh, and the replacement for the Warden Staff looks like a moderately obscene weapon too

Hope all this makes it to the final release, druids gettin' some serious lovin' there.

FOR REAL!?

i hope it all makes it too, it really sucks that weapon procs currently don't work with druids feral forms, and the only form that can currently use potions is Moonkin (yep that big dancing chicken)

Dy'know, I've been wrestling with this for a couple of days now and I can't quite make my mind up about it. Up to now I've always considered the lack of pots n procs to be fair play, it'd make druids very 'imba'. But how that pans out in BC with all the other class improvements I'm just not sure yet. Hopefully it won't be a balance issue but I can think of a few scenarios with pots and procs that'll make a bear almost unstoppable.

At the moment, yes.  You can also interact with NPCs in feral forms now too which is handy.

I said something similar to Splish yeaterday when explaining how we couldn't use pots in forms.  Crusader + cat would be a sodding lethal combination (not to mention the new BC enchants) and I expressed my opinion that it would never happen or druids would be nigh on unstoppable (didn't know it was in TBC at the time).  Hopefully they will be able to deal with the balance issues and don't simply take it out again, we need some lovin' but not necessarily quite this much or every 12yo will reroll druid and then complain when we get nerfed back to the stone age.
