are there people playing team fortress 2?

I've been playing for about 8 hours today after the new sniper and spy update got released and the one thing i thought couldn't happen just happened:p

Valve messed up bigger the blizzard :p for people wanting to know the comunity reactions check out the team fortress 2 blogs.

to make a long story short they added new weapons to certain classes in the game and the randomly unlock whilst playing. some players got all the new weapons within the hour whilst others (me included) played for 8 hours without even getting an unlock talking about bad programming :p

I've not been playing anything, I need to get my test domain setup now that I have my new toy - once that's done I might indulge in a spot of TF2 though. I do think that some people take TF2 a little too seriously though, which is one of the things I like about L4D - I suck hard at it, but it doesn't really matter that much.

I play TF2 and L4D but I dont really think that they make these games for around 8 hours in a row, I see them more as games you can do for hour and then hop on to a other game. But as you see the update it just depends on luck, and as you say that your kinda fed up with the game you just might aswell just play evryday a hour and still enjoy the game than play 8 hours straight and just getting frustrated.

It's an awful system, even after the "fix". Randomly getting weapons? Very very bad idea, I've got two items so far, one I already had, I hope they put trading in soon.

Given the performance of SSDs, you will naturally think: "The force is strong with this one."

It was the need to rebuild anyway that did it :)

Had a 'mare in Ruby Sanctum, wasn't smooth even with everything on the minimum. Took 2 drives out (the 32GB Raptor's had it's day now I think) and cleaned up a few dust bunnies (who needs games, cans of compressed air are just as much fun), added the SSD, fresh install of Windows 7, and all seems to be back to how it should be now (except loading times are a loooooot faster).

So, any of you bargain purchasers had a chance to play much Left 4 Dead 2 yet? I've run through a couple of the levels, quite enjoyable for the most part but the AI for your fellow survivors can be a bit frustrating at times. I wouldn't mind having a crack at it multiplayer if anyone fancies trying to arrange something?

Not a bargain purchaser but I do have Left 4 Dead 2 (as well as L4D1). If you don't mind a "foreigner" joining up, I'd love to whack (and getting whacked by) some zombies. My experience playing L4D1 on "random" groups was pretty much like bad pug day in WoW...

Go on then - how does tomorrow evening sound?

Durry - drop me a PM with your Steam ID and I'll get you invited to the group if you fancy it? I should be pretty clear that I'm a terrible player and *will* cause you to die, but it's all fun :)
