Trinkets
« on: December 15, 2009, 02:43:39 PM »
Right, I have enough EoT to buy Talisman of Resurgance: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48724 to replace Sundial of the Exiled: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40682.

Despite my feelings to the contrary, people are reporting rawr listing this trinket as one of the BiS for Arcane.  I can certainly see its value for boss fights but not having SotE proccing regularly will cut my general dps.

Just wondering what others have heard and what they think?

I'll be buying it for Fortuna to replace the Egg of Mortal Essence, which hasn't been working since 3.1 :) (technically it *has* been working as intended, I just never got round to replacing it when it was fixed)

I'll do some maths tomorrow night and see how it stacks up - out of interest what's your other trinket?
Hope you're enjoying being a member of the Seeds Of Glory - any donations towards the running costs of the site are gladly recieved!

As an arcane mage I'm using these!

Trinket 1: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48724 - binded to Arcane Power.
Trinket 2: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48722 - binded to Icy Veins.

And I'm lovin' it. As I'm activating one at a time on packs I'll have a trinket on each fight, depending on how fast the group clears.
Nuke Cycle: Trinket 2 + Icy Veins followed by Arcane Power > Trinket 1 when Trinket 2 ends. That might push me up to 5-6k DPS. (DPS might vary due to gear difference)

I could use a trinket that procs, but I'd like to be in control - I wanna decide when I'll be nuking and so forth.

Just seen the last post, thanks for the advice.  I would love to get my hands on the Shard.  Went with the Talisman in the end, use it with AP as you do, seems to work nicely on boss fights.
