Building a custom UI
« on: July 08, 2011, 02:53:17 AM »
Been messing around with spell rotations but since the standard UI doesn't allow me to track everything I need I'm looking into building something from scratch. Problem is I've never build a UI in wow so does any one know any good programs to do this?
All tips are welcome :)

I'm completely addicted to Tuk-ui, which is a complete makeover of the UI

http://www.tukui.org

But if that doesn't fit you, many ppl made complete addon packs and post them on curse:

For your DoT's and other stuff you want to have CombustionHelper, made for mages in the first place.

I used to use Tuk-Ui until i got bored of its simplicity.

Currently use LUI which also comes with a number of additional addons including omen, recount, grid, bartender4, FortExorcist.

Additional addons you will see from UI include the following

OmniCC
Ouf
Quartz
SpellFlash
Tidy Plates
Tidy Plates Threat

1 of things i liked about LUI was the ability to hide omen/recount/grid bosses when im not raiding with 1 click of a button. Also the way you can change your colour scheme (theres a colour scheme for each class)

Not really ready for prime time yet but there's a fair bit of noise about this addon, possibly one to keep an eye on for when they iron the bugs out.

Bolt's, you might want to change your images to
Code: [Select]
[img width=800] so it fits on the forum.

Also, class colours are also a function in Tuk-UI, just saying

Plenty options out there!

I'm currently using PitBull4, Dominos, OmniCC, ClassTimer, Recount, TidyPlates and Omen as my main UI components, with a few othe rmore specialised things.

But as pointed out, there are entire collections you can try out :)
