Hello Guild,

Due to circumstances, my billing date for WoW is set at 19 december. My account is billed with visa payment, but because of personal reasons there will be a problem and billing will not happen on that day.

At this time i'm not very sure about the (im)balance of the game and i'm honoustly asking myself what the hell Blizzard is doing in the last couple of phases before the launch of TBC.

So, i took the opportunity to give myself some thinking time what to do after 19th...
It can be that i'll go for a prepaid card because despite imbalance and some frustration about the game as a whole, i still enjoy the social factor of the guild and certainly enjoy the unique virtual world to escape from reality for some time
However as things are now in my mind, i was playing with the tought to give WoW a little rest till TBC comes out and re-enter the game on launch (or a bit after, when the madness of lvl70 rushes get cooled down).

However i'll still will troll the forum and keep in touch through this whith you all, because SoD got a special place in my mind and braincells

Whatever i decide, i will be back at some point or won't even get out of the game.... like i said i just don't know what to do, but i'll keep you updated about my final decision in this thing.

It's not my intention to be read as a complain, it's just how i look at things at the moment and you all are informed to avoid misunderstanding. I love this guild and if there's one thing i will keep playing instead of taking a break, this is one of the main factors that would persuade myself to continue instead of quitting for a while

cya all around and take care of eachother

love,
Lioness/Lifestealer

I completely understand mate - I know a lot of people are planning to take breaks when their current billing period is up until TBC is launched. If I'm honest I'm not inclined to play as much as I used to due to all the bugs that seem to be surfacing (the AD commission one that I argued with a GM about the other day, who eventually admitted it was an old bug that has just resurfaced) - it seems at the mo that unless you want to do BGs there is little interest in the game - we've had 2 cancelled runs due to a lack of interest so far this week, which is a shame.
Hope you're enjoying being a member of the Seeds Of Glory - any donations towards the running costs of the site are gladly recieved!

Hey, I did Strat UD and Scholo on Saturday and I'm down for Dire Maul tonight and and the LBRS run on Saturday.  I may be doing a lot of BGs but I'm also keeping my end up on the PvE front.

Lioness:  Don't blame you man, not much for you to do for the next month other than socialise.  If I weren't gearing up for the 60-70 grind (and enjoying myself when it's not lagged) in BGs I'd probably be on a lot less myself.  The only interesting things I have to do in PvE are the 45 minute run and the rest of that chain and ZG.  The rest is all a little dull after repeated runs.

Daff - it wasn't a dig at anyone, more a general observation of the game at the mo - a lot of people (I was looking outside the guild) have pointed out that a lot of people are losing interest in the questing side of things.

Definitely a lot of raiding guilds are having problems with people being in AB instead of raids.  With the 30% reduction in honour I don't think it will get better merely last 30% longer.

I want my beloved AV back, not this mad zerg rush to the hut

and herein lies the problem. I think a lot of people are bored of repeated runs.
Unfortunatly, as I have only just reached 60, it means that to get a run, I will have to PUG as it seems there is little interest in helping a new 60 through the runs.

See you around Lioness. Hope you come back soon.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still doing instances but only for sociability and helping those who still need the gear.

I'll be honest - I'm playing Tier 0 Pokemon and will be looking to get all my tier 0 pieces for Fortuna and Splishy, so plenty more Strat/Scholo/UBRS runs ahead for me. Still interested in getting another key to UBRS too, so LBRS is appealing as well (though only for the key and to help others with their quests in all honesty)

Uf - are you available at all this evening? If so we can try to pull a run together on spec with whatever members we have online if you like? I'm happy to do any 5 man run, would be even better if it was one I could get some AD rep from

Hence why I'm an alt-whore. I get em to 60, kit em out, twiddle my thumbs for a bit and start another one because that's the bit I like the best about it all. The rise from 1-60 is the best fun for me, the effort to reward ratio is great compared to trudging around instances over and over for some tier piece that might or might not drop and when it does leaves you feeling empty and need to replace that emptiness with some other shiny thing the game forces you to feel you 'need'.

And you know what? I'll do the same with my 60's from 60-70. And when I get bored of that I'll sell the account and cash in.

There's alot of 'honesty' going on here!!!

I have the dilema that I shall be 60 very soon and the prospect of only doing the standard runs over  and over and over again just to get a set peice fills me with dread! The fun part is leveling for me, which is rapidily comming to an end   I have an alt, so I may then concentrate on that more than SQ, unless the high end runs prove fun and addictive - if they are I will be pleased  but still roll on BC!!

I'm also still wanting to get my BOP tier 0 so I am happy to do all the 55+ instances as many times as needed be it for myself or to help another guildie.

Squeeze, trust me until you can run a level 60 instance with your eyes closed there will be something to keep you guessing.  I've run scholo 3 times and love it, I'd happily go back twice a week cause I like it that much, I like BRD and have not yet seen it all after countless rund.

You will find certain instances that you just like others that are a real chore, and I look forward to seeing you go to some of those places soon, not with me like but you know what I mean:)

OK, it's intresting to see responses that lift some other issue about this game...

I want to clarify some things about my decision, because i see that some people misunderstood what i meant in regards of the possible break i would give myself...
First of all i still don't know if i will quit for a while or not... like said before, it's something i'm thinking about, but certainly didn't make up my mind about it
However i do enjoy the 'normal' runs, especially because we play good together.  However in my honoust opinion Blizzard made all classes so powerfull that when anyone (even pug) go to scholo/DiM or any 5-10 man instances, they can treat it like epic geared people rushed to those before the patch (and believe me, i had some really neat experience with my 'retired' main and alts who were BWL/AQ40 equiped in there)

In the long run this will make more people believe they are good, while they aren't. Previously you had to be carefull as a blue geared character in those instances and fault tolelerance was minimal because one mistake could provoce a wipe in any of them. Only the characters that know their class and know how to work together could survive 'additional adds' or a mistake to be rectified and survive a otherwise terrible wipe

However i think it's good that the circumstances what became a sum of several things, made guilds as a whole get more 'problems'. The new honor system that encourages the pvp madness among everyone(me included), the holiday seasons that have priority above any game to spend with family and children, the boredom of no new PVE content (at least not accessible for the casual guilds... Naxxramas as main example)... all contribute in getting a downgrade in attendances of guild runs that were not so long ago at a peak.

But once again, it's not because i 'cant be arsed' to help other guildies out that never been into the normal instances, in contrary, i enjoy to be of some help to at least try to guide groups through those instances because (said it before) i still enjoy them very much.

I really wonder if TBC gets out, if the 'problem' of lvl boosting will just shuffle to a hogher department. In example now you see the yells and chats 'looking for bored lvl 60's to go to DM'.... in TBC perhaps 'looking for bored lvl 70 to go to scholo'.... ?

so to get back to this thread's primary meaning... the break i would take is for my own personal reasons, it has nothing to do whith becomming bored and nothing to do anymore.... hell, Lioness has lots of stuff still todo as going to brd to complete key quests for accessing other content and repping factions to get recipe access for her enchanting etc...
It's the game mechanics as a whole that are for me screwing it up and letting players get access to content that they cant master in a good way because overpowering the classes that is my primary concern and let me started to think about stepping a bit back and let things as they are and see where this is all going.

I'm sorry to give you so much to read, at the end... it's 'just' a game they all claim. However i'm not this hypocrit and i know this game is more than 'just' a game for me, especially if i see how many months of played time i spend already
'Just' a game wouldn't bother me so much to give it so much thought, so that's why i probably will not quit... but this is the thing i just have to figure out for myself at the moment AND the true nature of this thread.

I know some things probably will not make much sense what i wrote, but on the other hand it's good that i can write it off in this forum... that's why it's for

thanks for all responses and i'm happy that it let some other 'problems' and thoughts see surface and discussed.

you all have a place in my mind and heart and this is something i really am greatfull about this game.... though we never saw eachother in real life, still i got the feeling i made many friends throughout this game.

Love,
Lioness/lifestealer

PS : you didn't hijack this thread at all Amber
