Rogue & Druid Trees Get another rehaul before TBC

With our latest patch, “Before the Storm”, we implemented most of the new talents which will carry over into the Burning Crusade ahead of schedule.

Because of these major changes to players’ talent trees we decided to provide all our players with a free respec.

At this time we plan to make some additional changes only to the Rogues’ and Druids’ talent trees, which effectively means that they will need an additional reset of their talents.

Therefore, since these two classes are currently the only two to be slated for such significant changes to be implemented they will be the only ones receiving an additional free respec.

Although it is not planned at this time, should we decide to make significant changes to any other classes’ talents, then we would more than likely provide them with a free respec also.

(Censored) i hope they don't change it too much, i'm really enjoying Feral right now  especially how much ownage we're handing out in Duels and the BG's

i was hoping for this build when BC came out but what changes they'll make we'll just have to see

It's because our talent trees weren't finished for the patch.  Blood frenzy and primal fury are merged and a couple of other changes that are all mostly good for us (ILoTP down to 2 points and 4% is the only nerf as far as I know).

hmm, if that's right then i'll be able to take the point that was in ILoTP and put it in Feral Instinct. still i'm crossing my fingers they don't change it drastically, i'm enjoying the Druid much more now with the tree as it is.

Without insane amounts of +stamina we'll lose out on health with this patch, the extra armour is nice but it will make the job of the bear's healer a little harder as there's less of a buffer to work with.

Casters will kill you faster, melee will struggle even more than they already do against bear form.

that's my main concern about the casters, i can just about take on mages with a lil strategy, but things like locks and priests will have me down and out before i can shift to heal. or to make a strategic retreat to get somewhere to shadowmeld eat & drink.

Major bear tank threat generation nerf ahoy

Swipe has had it's threat modifier removed and maul reduced to a flat rate so it no longer scales with AP

In other words, instead of buffing warriors they nerfed druids.

Everything else is good news but the bear tanking nerf is pretty major.

[edit]Quote from the forums that made me smile:  " Druids will now tank by standing there with our shiny new armor numbers and huge dodge but not having actual aggro on anything. We'll be the last ones to die at least."[/edit]

nooooooo, blizz nerf my alt and dont buff my main, now with Gala being dps he will be more wanted for tanking (which I refuse to do) and as for alorao who is feral (although I dont want to tank the spec can manage with it) I will now be more wanted for healing (which I strictly dont do!)

So thanks blizz you censored censored!!!!!!

Cat didn't get nerfed so if you weren't into tanking then you just get buffs and even for a feral 18% off the price of regrowth is rather tasty, tranquility is now a friggin awesome spell which is presumably why the cooldown is now 10 minutes.

cat form is my main feral form however for some casters i switch to Bear for the extra health after a pounce mangle and bleed effect. well if anything it should be a challange to figure new ways to kill mages and other casters. Experienced Hunters may have more difficulty killing us which is good, unlike those with 60 Horde Hunters that keep getting owned by yours truly trying to take SF or IB while i'm on guard there *head grows to extrodinary proportions*

and here is the new Druid Tree not too shabby actually. now we can get 2 points in Furor or IMotW. i have to say i quite like it

My old build My New Build I know which of the two i prefer

question though, should i put my spare 2 points in IMotW or Furor, id have thought IMotW for the higher stats but what do you think? end result in the new tree will be 5 IMotW, 3 Furor, 3 Natural Shifter and 1 Omen of Clarity, It's a Feral Druids dream ^^

anyways i've got the patch downloaded this mornin so i will be on as soon as i get home from work roughly 5:45pm ^^ see y'all tonight.

Personally I'd drop Predatory Instincts as the damage bonus only applies to the extra damage you do on a crit not the total damage so for 5 points it's a tad weak.  The 5 points from that I'd put straight into Furor and drop IMoTW completely giving you 2 points to go into Naturalist.  I'd also take the points out of Thick Hide and put them into Naturalist on the basis that I really have enough armour as it is and the 0.5 second reduction in HT cast times combined with a 10% damage boost finishes off a tidy 0/41/10 build

Moving to 70 I'll probably put 1 in OoC, 3 in Natural Shapeshifter, and 3 in Subtlety.

Aw...

Quote
Warlocks

-  Melee damage of "Felguard" has been reduced.

I can see the 'locks complaining about not being Imba enough now.

Quote
-  Enchantments

-  The Crusader Enchantment now decreases in potency for wielders above
   level 60.

-  The Icy Chill Enchantment now decreases in potency for wielders above
   level 60.

-  The Lifestealing Enchantment now decreases in potency for wielders
   above level 60.

Poo, frankly. Though I suppose it does beg the question "what will now be the must have melee enchant?"
